Singer composer, arranger Alejandro “Ale” Gutierrez is unquestionably the heart of Cuban Soul. His unmistakable, harmonic and melodic style,has won him the recognition as one of the very best voices in contemporary Latin Music. His strength and passion has gained the acknowledgment and reverence from a loyal legion of fans and fellow musicians. Ale began his career in Cuba in the mid 1980’s as part of the 13 & 8 artistic youth movement , which saw the birth of some of the island’s best contemporary artists. It was during this period where he met the members of the group Habana Abierta, which he was asked to join and has been a member of or the past twelve years. Ale’s voice and songs bring to his audience a fusion of traditional Cuban Rhythms with edgy hip jazzy soul. Ale weaves his vocal magic with lyrics that speak of his experiences in life and love. Ale, along the the rest of Habana Abierta are due to release their newest CD sometime in early 2009. Gutierrez is also working on his own solo production which should also be available next year. His plans include performing all over Europe, Latin America and The U,S, with Habana Abierta which remains one of the most cutting edge Contemporary Latin Groups to have come about in a long time, as well promoting his own CD. Ale has acquired the services of World Media Management president, Ray Gutierrez to advance and promote his career. With his new CD under production and the upcoming release of Habana Abierta, Ale’s unmistakable voice will be heard blasting from every radio from Madrid to Los Angeles, bringing to the world his own brand of Cuban Soul.
